- Register with a licensed Adoption Agency.
- Attend a Pre-Adoption Counseling Session.
- Submit documents like financial statements, medical reports, and background information.
- Home Study is conducted by the adoption agency to assess your suitability.
- After approval, you may be matched with a child. The child is then placed in your custody under the supervision of the adoption agency.
- After a period of pre-adoption foster care, the court issues the Adoption Order finalizing the adoption.
The essential elements of a valid contract are:
- Offer: One party proposes terms to another.
- Acceptance: The other party agrees to the terms.
- Consideration: Something of value is exchanged.
- Capacity: All parties must have the legal ability to enter into a contract.
- Legality: The contract’s purpose must be lawful.
- Mutual Consent: All parties must agree to the contract terms voluntarily.
